More than 300 people have completed the course, which was created with small businesses in mind.

There have been a lot of changes during the run of A.L. Jacobs and Sons Jewelers. From the development of downtown San Diego to the rise in customers’ online shopping habits, the store has withstood it all, selling jewelry to San Diegans, most recently at 1055 Rosecrans St. in Point Loma.

Hoping to bring the vibrancy and spirit of South America to Ocean Beach during these dark times, Novo Brazil Brewing Co. has taken the space formerly home to Culture Brewing Co. at 4845 Newport Ave., with a fall opening planned.

Staying in touch with friends after high school isn’t always easy, but for one of Point Loma and Ocean Beach’s most tight-knit group of friends, they remain as united today as they were 25 years ago, bonded by memories, a passion for skateboarding, artistic and musical interests and the camaraderie developed through life’s ups and downs.

One of two developers proposing massive entertainment districts on San Diego’s 48-acre sports arena site has added the possibility of a new arena.
