Man feisty during Sunset Cliffs rescue
A man who fell from Sunset Cliffs on the evening of Sunday, Oct. 6 was reportedly uncooperative while lifeguards worked to rescue him. The man, suspected of being under the influence, fell around 7:30 p.m. near Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and Monaco Street. Lifeguards located the man with help from a police helicopter, but had to summon extra lifeguards when the man refused to cooperate with them.
Crews used a crane to hoist him to safety. The man was taken to a hospital with possible major injuries. He wouldn’t tell paramedics how far he had fallen, so they took him to a trauma facility as a precaution, officials said.
Attempted bank robbery foiled

The suspect turned and left. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’2” to 5’5” tall, 140-150 pounds, wearing dark clothing. He is not in custody at this time. Robbery Detectives are investigating. Anyone with information may call Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
