Kobey’s Swap Meet welcoming shoppers again after shutdown caused by coronavirus
The popular Kobey’s Swap Meet in the Midway District is back in business after shutting down in late March due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The outdoor weekend swap meet returned May 29, featuring vendors selling clothing, plants, furniture, jewelry, toys and more.
It is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.
San Diego County health guidelines apply, including mandatory face coverings and 6-foot social distancing. Vendor booths are spaced farther apart, common areas such as ATMs and restrooms are disinfected regularly and hand sanitizer stations are available at the entrances.
Kobey’s is at 3500 Sports Arena Blvd. Admission is $1 on Fridays and $2 on Saturdays and Sundays. Children 11 and younger get in free.
