Woman badly hurt in hit-and-run crash in Midway District

A hit-and-run driver left a woman in her 20s seriously injured in the Midway District early Dec. 6, San Diego police said.
The woman was walking along the west curb on Camino del Rio West, north of the junction of Sports Arena Boulevard and Rosecrans Street, at about 3 a.m. when she was hit.
Her injuries included a lacerated spleen and bleeding in her brain, police said. Her exact age was unknown.
A description of the vehicle was not available. Investigators were unable to find witnesses but were combing the commercial area for surveillance video, police said.
