Vehicle-to-vehicle shooting erupts in Midway District

A vehicle-to-vehicle shooting in a busy Midway District commercial area damaged an unoccupied car March 11 but caused no known injuries, authorities said.

The gunfire between a gray Honda Civic and a white SUV, possibly a Mercedes-Benz, erupted in the area of Duke Street and Midway Drive
shortly before 11 a.m., according to San Diego police. It was unclear which vehicle the shooter was in or if occupants of both vehicles fired on each other, Officer Tony Martinez said.

When police arrived, the involved vehicles were gone and a parked Honda Accord was damaged by at least one stray bullet, Martinez said. — City News Service
