Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man found in an Ocean Beach alley late May 21, San Diego police said.

The man, believed to be in his early 60s, was found in the north alley off Niagara Avenue and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard just before 11:30 p.m., said homicide Lt. Andra Brown.

When officers arrived, the man was unresponsive and a citizen was doing CPR. Paramedics took over, but the man was pronounced dead soon after.

The man had unspecified visible injuries. Due to the suspicious nature of his death, homicide investigators were called, Brown said. Police said they have no information on the circumstances of the death.
