Man stabbed during argument over bike in Midway District

A 36-year-old man was stabbed in the chest early Aug. 14 during an argument in the Midway District with another man over a bicycle, police said.
The stabbing happened at about 2 a.m. in the 2900 block of Sports Arena Boulevard, according to Officer Tony Martinez of the San Diego Police Department.
“During the argument, the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest with a knife,” Martinez said. “The suspect was described as a White male with a shaved head, heavy-set and wearing a red shirt.”
The assailant was seen running east on Sports Arena Boulevard, Martinez said.
The stabbing victim, who is homeless, was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, the officer said.
