Point Loma gets funky at park concert

Point Loma Summer Concerts presented the band Full Strength for an afternoon of funk music Oct. 2 at Point Loma Park.

The concert started an hour and 45 minutes late after the sound engineer discovered that morning that his truck, which was loaded with equipment, had been stolen, according to Kerri De Rosier, chairwoman of Point Loma Summer Concerts.

The sound engineer, Chris Holloway, was able to find more equipment for the show, De Rosier said.

“The fans were kind and patient — just so happy to feel some sense of normalcy after no summer concerts for two years,” she said.
