Pedestrian seriously injured when hit by pickup in Midway District

A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries after he was struck by a pickup the night of Jan. 13 while crossing a street in the Midway District.

The 45- to 50-year-old pedestrian was hit by a 2002 Ford F-150 driven by a 45-year-old man north on Rosecrans Street about 7:40 p.m. The driver had a green light at the time, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with multiple fractures, Heims said.
