Pedestrian injured in Midway District crash

A 62-year-old man was hospitalized after being hit by a car while trying to cross Rosecrans Street in the Midway District.
San Diego police officers were called at 6:45 p.m. March 30 to the 3800 block of Rosecrans, where they found the man lying on the street, Officer Robert Heims said.
Police learned that a 2016 Volkswagen sedan being driven north on Rosecrans by a 46-year-old man struck the pedestrian, Reims said.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with multiple fractures that were not considered life-threatening.
