The annual OB Kite Festival took flight May 21 at Robb Field, courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Ocean Beach.

The free event included prizes for best-decorated kites by age category, kite-flying demonstrations, carnival rides, live music and a craft fair. Youngsters could learn how to make kites, with all materials supplied.
