Abandoned boat found in OB; immigration authorities search for occupants

Immigration officials found 10 life vests on a small abandoned boat near the Ocean Beach Pier on Aug. 19, triggering a search of the area for the occupants.
The panga was found 100 yards north of the pier around 5:40 a.m. with the life jackets and 40 gallons of fuel, Fox5 TV reported.
The San Diego Fire & Rescue Department notified U.S. border officials. No other information was immediately released.
