Man arrested in Midway District stabbing

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing another man during an argument in the Midway District the night of Sept. 22, San Diego police said.

The argument escalated and the 40-year-old victim reportedly was stabbed multiple times in the face and head around 7 p.m. in a shopping center on Sports Arena Boulevard near East Drive, police said. The attacker fled. Officers arrested a suspect a short time later.

The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
