Motorcycle rider dies in Ocean Beach crash

A 60-year-old motorcycle rider died in a crash in Ocean Beach on Feb. 19, San Diego police said.
The crash occurred about 4 p.m. on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard near West Point Loma Boulevard. Police said the rider was headed south on a Harley-Davidson Softail Slim when he maneuvered onto the right shoulder to pass vehicles. The motorcycle hit the curb and the man was thrown off and struck a palm tree and a light pole, police said. He died before he could be taken to a hospital.
His name was not released.
