Man’s body is found in bay off Shelter Island

The body of an unidentified man was found May 26 in San Diego Bay off Shelter Island, according to the San Diego Harbor Police Department.
The discovery near the 2200 block of Shelter Island Drive was reported at about 8 a.m., the department said.
There did not appear to be anything suspicious about the fatality, according to SDHPD Lt. Victor Banuelos.
The San Diego County medical examiner’s office took custody of the body for identification and determination of cause of death.
